Arvind Chaudhry, MD, PhD

Dr. Chaudhry is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology, and is the director of Spokane Valley Cancer Center. He received his cancer training at the National Cancer Institute, at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD, where he completed his fellowship in Hematology and Oncology. Dr Chaudhry also completed a PhD program and doctoral thesis in cancer research at Uppsala University, Uppsala, Sweden.

He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at SUNY Health Sciences Center, Syracuse, NY.

Dr. Kelly is a board certified Radiation Oncologist with Spokane CyberKnife & Radiation Oncology Center. She graduated from the University of Calgary with an honors degree in Biochemistry before completing her medical degree at the University of Alberta. Dr. Kelly completed a five-year residency program in Radiation Oncology at Queens University in Kingston, Ontario and at the Tom Baker Cancer Center in Calgary, Alberta.

Upon completion of her Residency, Dr. Kelly practiced at Mercy Cancer Center in Hot Springs, AR, and the Coeur d’Alene and Post Falls Cancer Centers before joining Spokane Valley Cancer Center. Dr. Kelly is dedicated to providing patients with the highest quality of care using cutting-edge technology. She is trained in all aspects of Radiation Oncology, including CyberKnife® and TrueBeam Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) and Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT), IMRT, IGRT, 3DCRT, electron therapy, and brachytherapy. Dr. Kelly is on the American Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncology Health Services Research Committee and is involved in national cancer research.

Radiation Oncologist — Spokane CyberKnife & Radiation Oncology Center

Dr. Lamm is a board certified Radiation Oncologist with Spokane CyberKnife & Radiation Oncology Center. After completing a five-year residency where he eventually served as Chief Resident, Dr. Lamm began practice at Mercy Hospital in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Dr. Lamm moved his practice to the North Rockies Radiation Oncology Center in Billings, MT and spent 14 years there, departing as the Medical Director.

Dr. Lamm has practiced in the Spokane and North Idaho market for the past 10 years, spending seven years at Kootenai Cancer Center in Coeur d’Alene and three years at Rockwood Cancer Treatment Center, Spokane. His move to the Spokane Valley Cancer Center and CyberKnife of Spokane was a no brainer says Dr. Lamm. The facility and equipment are state-of-the-art and unique in the region. The physicians and staff are visionary and top notch. According to Dr. Lamm, the science of radiation oncology has progressed by leaps and bounds over the past few decades. Today, advancements in imaging technology and the arrival of tools like CyberKnife allow him to target cancer cells more precisely and deliver treatment that’s more powerful, accurate, and effective. Dr. Lamm has extensive experience in all methods and treatment options available in Radiation Oncology. His training and experience includes: CyberKnife® and TrueBeam Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) and Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT), Rapid-Arc (SRS), IMRT, IGRT, 3DCRT, electron therapy, and brachytherapy. Dr. Lamm is a member of the American College of Radiation Oncology, Yellowstone Medical Society, Montana Medical Association and the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology.

Raj Rajendra, MD

Dr. Rajendra has recently completed his Fellowship in Hematology and Oncology from the University of Washington at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Prior to that, he completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at Ball Memorial Hospital, an affiliate of Indiana University, located in Muncie, Indiana. Dr. Rajendra received his M.B.B.S. degree from the Shivaji University, India.

In the pursuit of a career as a clinical investigator, Dr. Rajendra received his Doctoral degree from the Joint Graduate Program in Pharmacology and Toxicology, at Rutgers University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Brunswick, New Jersey. His training to identify the clinically relevant mechanisms of resistance to cancer drugs was extremely productive. In order to further enhance his clinical research repertoire, he spent additional time gaining experience in the process of clinical research trials at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. Dr. Rajendra's goal is to provide compassionate care, as well as make cutting edge research available to his patients in the community.

Brian Samuels, MD, FCP

Medical Oncologist / Hematologist — Northwest Oncology

Dr. Brian Samuels, after graduating with Honors from the Godfrey Huggins School of Medicine, completed his internal medicine residency at the Albert Einstein Medical Center, and was Board certified in Internal Medicine in 1984. He continued his training in Hematology and Oncology with a fellowship at the University of Chicago, becoming Board certified in Medical Oncology in 1987.

Dr. Samuels is recognized as an expert in the treatment of patients with bone and soft tissue sarcomas. He has conducted extensive cancer research, authoring over 60 publications and book chapters, 25 in the field of sarcoma. Dr. Samuels currently practices with Northwest Oncology, located at Northwest Specialty Hospital in Post Falls, Idaho. He has expertise in most aspects of medical oncology and hematology, and has a focus in sarcoma treatment. He is married and has three children. His wife, Lesley, is a board certified psychiatrist at Eastern State Psychiatric Hospital.

Mihai Alexianu, MD

Urology — Spokane Urology

Dr. Mihai Alexianu graduated Magna cum Laude from the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest in 1989. His initial urology residency was at the University of Medicine in Cluj, and he became Board certified in urology in 1994. During this time he was working on his PhD in bladder cancer and specialized in urologic oncology and bladder substitution. Dr. Alexianu continued his training at the Albert Einstein University, NY, Long Island Campus, finishing two years of general surgery and three years of urology.

In 2000, he became Chief Resident in Urology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He has extensive training in endourology and laparoscopy, and completed his fellowship in female reconstructive surgery and neuro-urology. Dr. Alexianu currently practices with Spokane Urology, and focuses his practice on urologic oncology, laparoscopy, robotics and reconstructive urology with expertise in kidney, bladder and prostate cancer. Throughout his career, Dr. Alexianu has been actively involved in clinical and basic science research. He has coauthored multiple scientific articles and books and has presented his research at many national and international urology meetings. He is a member of numerous medical societies and has received several prestigious awards. Dr. Alexianu is married and has two children. His wife, Daniela is a board certified anesthesiologist at Sacred Heart Medical Center since 2001. They all enjoy the Inland Northwest, especially its skiing, hiking and camping opportunities.

Urology — Rob Golden, MD

Dr. Robert Golden is a dedicated urologist with specialization in urologic oncology. He has vast experience in laparoscopic cancer surgery for kidney cancer and upper tract transitional cell carcinoma. His focus on invasive bladder cancer has been of a bladder sparing approach of transurethral resection, chemotherapy and radiation.

He has extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of localized and systemic prostate cancer, favoring a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists.

Jessica A. Taylor, ARNP, AOCNP

Oncology and Family Practice Nurse Practitioner /Clinical Trial Subinvestigator

Jessica is a board certified Oncology and Family Practice Nurse Practitioner who has been practicing medical oncology for nearly a decade. Jessica received her bachelor of Nursing degree at Washington State University, and received her Advanced Nurse Practitioner degree at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. She is very active as a clinical trial subinvestigator for our patients enrolled in clinical trials. Jessica has a special interest in working closely with our patients to assure they tolerate chemotherapy, hormone therapy, and immune therapy.
